History
Knightor Winery has a history of people staying around it since 1305. It was initially spelt "Creghtyer", which is Cornish for wrinkled land. Its current name was first traced from survey records dating back to 1805.
Knightor Winery was the site of a grand manor that was demolished and rebuilt around the late 18th century. It, however, still has some details from the early times, like an ancient date stone. You'll also find masonry from that time in and around the grounds.
Things changed a bit for Knightor Winery and its surrounding areas when China Clay was discovered there. Since then, the venue passed through several owners until its current proprietors, who purchased it in 2010.
Location
Located in St. Austell Bay, Knightor Winery comprises about four acres of ground. This includes gardens, a courtyard, vines, an arbour and a beautiful pond. The venue offers couples exclusivity for their special day with no near neighbours.
Knightor Winery is a working winery and a farmstead, so guests and couples make allowances for that, but it means you get some of the freshest food and the best in house wines.

Weddings at Knightor Winery start at just £2,950 (Correct as of 03/2022). Packages include exclusive use of the entire venue, including the farmhouse for accommodation. Couples who choose to have an outdoor wedding also get a backup plan; as we know, the Cornish weather can be unpredictable.
Ceremony Spaces
There is the historic granite barn and the courtyard venue. The vaulted threshing barn, in particular, has lovely wooden details and magnificent arcs.

The first is the manor house comprising six bedrooms, the second is the orchard barn with lovely amenities and bifold doors that open onto the gorgeous orchard, and the third is the two spacious bell tents.
